On the App Store and Google Play · Updated 8 October 2026
Emblem 1.6.67 brings souvenir gifting, interactive gift boxes, personal letters, a Gifts inbox and a globe overview, in a new frameless look where Lucky Emblems turn holographic. It also brings new collection QR checks, movable People stamps and inline Dual viewing, alongside changes to the collection experience, Discover, maps, iPhone AR, profiles, titles, Membership, Lucky rewards and privacy.
Where you can get it: on Google Play, gifts arrived with version 1.6.62 on 4 October and Emblem 1.6.66 followed on 6 October; Emblem 1.6.67 has been available there since 7 October. On the App Store, Emblem 1.6.67 has been available since 8 October. It follows 1.6.57 of 21 September and is the first iPhone version with gifts. These notes compare 1.6.57, which both stores offered until 4 October, with 1.6.67. Everything described as new was absent from 1.6.57. If you already have 1.6.66 on Android, section 1 lists what has changed since then.
Availability: Android and iPhone users can update now. Participating Emblems, device support and service activation can affect individual features. Delivery options and benefits still awaiting public activation are explained below.
1. New in 1.6.67: a frameless, holographic look and easier gifting
Android users who already have 1.6.66 receive these changes with 1.6.67. On iPhone, they arrive together with everything else in these notes.
A frameless look: Emblems appear without coloured tier frames. Passport covers, Emblem tiles, Discover and brand images are shown whole, at their own proportions, without frames inside frames.
Holographic Lucky Emblems: Lucky wins turn holographic instead of gold, with a deep foil that shifts as you tilt your phone. Lucky marks and collected passport stamps get a thin dark rim.
Gifts for people who don’t follow you: a direct gift can now reach someone who doesn’t follow you back. Anyone can limit this with “Gifts only from people I follow” in Settings › Privacy; others can then still send them a gift link, and they choose whether to open it. When the person you chose can’t receive a direct gift, Emblem offers to send it as a link instead.
A new gift box: the ribbon hugs the box and falls open as you unwrap it, and the lid, envelope, letter and reveal are reworked and smoother.
Clearer gift actions: each sent gift shows its status on its tile. Cancelling or declining a gift asks for confirmation, accepting one first tells you that it will appear on your profile (you can hide it), and actions that can no longer succeed explain why.
A redesigned Discover: rails without a card around every item, passport covers shown whole, and brands listed as brands.
Pavilions and redeemed rewards: the tutorial introduces the Pavilions tab, passport links open the Passports page, and the app uses one set of names for pavilions, territories, brands and rewards. A reward you have used is now “Redeemed”.
Collecting keeps your work: stepping back keeps your photos and message. Emblem asks before you leave an unfinished collection, explains a collect that fails, and after the location check tells you to tap Collect to finish.
Location help: when location fails while collecting or on the map, Emblem offers Open settings and Try again.
Anonymous feed posts: a collection post with “Hide collector on feed” stays on the collector’s profile and appears in the For You feed without their name or photo.
Fewer dead ends: screens that used to stop now offer Retry or Log out, and profile and passport errors have a way back. Emblem asks before you log out or block someone, confirms unblocking, and tells you when a follow or a setting did not save.
Faster feeds and better translations: feeds read each post once and keep only the newest page live, the comment count needs a single read, and the notification badge no longer downloads the whole inbox. A review of all 22 app languages fixed wording and wrong-sense translations.
2. New: give an Emblem as a personal gift
Version 1.6.57 lets you collect souvenirs for yourself. Version 1.6.67 introduces a separate gift experience for sharing an Emblem with someone else, with its own recipient, message, presentation and acceptance flow.
For you or Gift: choose the purpose from Collect. Switching between the two retains the relevant draft.
Choose an Emblem user: search for a recipient, with suggestions that include people you follow.
Share a private Link: where this delivery option is activated, prepare a gift link that leads to the recipient's acceptance or refusal flow.
Add a personal letter: accompany the souvenir with a handwritten-style message.
Include the moment: eligible gifts can include the associated Dual photo pair, handled as private gift media.
Plan a birthday delivery: the new system includes scheduled delivery, subject to the delivery options enabled for your account.
Recipient selection stays readable above the keyboard. Preparation provides loading, retry and eligibility explanations, including recovery when a location check or recipient lookup cannot complete. Scheduled gifts have cancellation and rescheduling support where the delivery service is enabled.
The sender keeps their original Emblem. Receiving a gift does not count as visiting its location, completing a passport, consuming collection supply or earning a location reward. The gift is a souvenir shared by another person; the visit remains theirs.
3. New: an interactive gift box and reveal
Gift boxes and ribbon opening are entirely new in this update. An incoming gift can arrive in a three-dimensional box with the Emblem mark and an interactive opening sequence that reveals the souvenir.
Blue-and-white and white-and-blue wrapping choices.
Tap the box once to unwrap it: the ribbon falls open and the Emblem rises smoothly from the box.
The familiar Emblem viewer connects the souvenir with its associated photos and letter.
Opening finishes automatically, and a single X closes the whole gift.
Move the Emblem and the letter freely across the screen, and tap either one to bring it into focus.
Reduced-motion and recovery paths keep the contents accessible when animation or media loading cannot complete normally.
Pavilion-themed wrapping is also being tested, but remains a development-only option. It is not included in the publicly available wrapping choices announced here.
4. New: sealed envelopes and personal letters
Version 1.6.57 has no gift envelope or letter reader. Version 1.6.67 introduces both: turn and zoom a sealed 3D envelope, tap it to open, and watch the letter slide out before reading its handwritten-style content.
Full-screen reading: open the letter in a dedicated viewer while retaining the surrounding gift scene.
Pinch to zoom: enlarge the whole sheet.
Pan across the letter: move around the enlarged page to read each part.
One close control: a single X above the letter closes the whole gift.
Switch views: move between the letter and the Emblem with an animated transition.
Accessible text: screen readers can read the letter content; the layouts also account for small screens and right-to-left presentation.
Eligible gift Dual photos are presented behind the Emblem. Their indicators follow the currently visible view so that the souvenir, photo pair and message remain connected.
5. New: a Gifts tab, history and approval inbox
A dedicated Gifts tab joins your profile. It brings sent and received souvenirs into an Emblem grid, with a new inbox for gifts that need your attention.
Separate sent and received gift history.
Pending indicators that identify gifts awaiting a decision.
Explicit acceptance or refusal after opening a gift.
Gift details that display the actual sent date.
Private content and visibility controls associated with the correct account.
Friendly feedback when you open your own gift link.
Opening a gift lets you inspect it; acceptance is a separate decision. A private gift link opens the same acceptance flow.
6. New QR collection checks; changes to ordinary collection
Version 1.6.67 adds a QR scanner to collection. Version 1.6.57 does not have this Emblem collection route. An Emblem whose organiser requires a QR code can request that additional proof after the relevant location checks; QR requirements are switched on Emblem by Emblem.
The scanner includes Emblem-styled controls and a readable close button. QR requirements depend on the participating Emblem's configuration. Location-based collection still requires the relevant visit and a fresh eligible location; scanning is not a way to collect any souvenir remotely.
The existing collection flow also changes:
An updated artwork reveal, now without a tier frame.
A privacy label explaining the visibility of the resulting collection post.
Clearer requirement validation and recovery when preparation cannot complete.
More reliable handling of delayed reservations and eligible pending collection work.
A visible Validating… state, with fewer redundant retry prompts.
A capture flow without the previous gallery-upload controls in the regular collection composer.
7. New: explore the world on a globe
The flat map in 1.6.57 gains a new globe overview in 1.6.67. Zoom far enough out to see the Earth, drag to rotate it, pinch to change the view, or tap a region to return to the detailed map.
The globe uses bundled imagery. The existing detailed map continues to support local exploration and location-based collection.
Alongside the new globe, map fixes improve political borders at wider zoom levels, prevent collapsed longitude bounds from breaking profile-map views, and stop location prompts from repeatedly reopening automatically after permission has been denied.
8. Expanded and more reliable Pavilion territory browsing
Pavilions and territory browsing already exist in 1.6.57. This update makes their configured territory grids more complete and adds bundled catalogue fallback when live loading is unavailable.
More reliable territory flag sources, saved-code matching and catalogue aliases.
Corrected flag rendering for entries including Sardinia.
Corrected links between former Soviet Union republic entries.
A fuller Russia Pavilion grid, with explanations separating territorial claims from internationally recognised status.
Regional artwork updates that retain the correct country flags on profiles.
Qualified claim entries remain distinct from the territory progress used for completion.
9. New iPhone AR hand controls; improved placement and photo review
Version 1.6.57 already supports native iPhone AR placement, pinch resizing, two-finger rotation and photo capture. Version 1.6.67 adds hand hold and set-down interactions, along with more stable surface anchoring and dragging that acts on the placed object.
Placed objects stay anchored more reliably.
Object dragging reduces accidental movement of the surrounding scene.
New hold and set-down interactions provide another way to handle supported objects.
Photo review preserves the complete captured frame instead of the previous square review.
Camera presentation follows the Dual camera more closely.
A virtual Pripyat detector is being tested separately, with display, switches, volume controls, hand and tilt interactions, and synthesised Geiger-style sound. Its readings are simulated; it is not radiation-measuring equipment. That detector catalogue remains a development experience. The new native hand controls and detector audio are iPhone-specific; Android retains its existing 3D viewer.
10. A redesigned, faster Discover and updated food and music pages
Discover, gastronomy and music pages are already part of 1.6.57. Version 1.6.67 rearranges Discover into rails without a card around every item and shows passport covers whole. Returning to search is also more efficient by retaining results, reusing loaded detail data and loading result rows as needed. Search uses still thumbnails rather than starting video players. Creator portraits are preloaded, and retired duplicate Emblems are excluded from the relevant views.
The existing Tried and Listened actions gain consistent controls beneath the relevant imagery. Food details, empty-photo states, the invitation to add a first photo and suggestion handling receive layout and reliability changes.
11. Redesigned titles and better profile navigation
The title system already exists in 1.6.57. Its medal-style presentation is replaced by compact coloured lists, with consistent colours across profile, detail and showcase views.
More readable lists with less repeated decoration.
Title navigation that opens the titles belonging to the profile being viewed.
Localized viewer labels and passport names that respond to a language change.
Original place identities preserved while interface wording is translated.
Saved selections checked against earned progress.
Selection and save handling protected when the signed-in account changes.
12. New inline Dual viewing in the feed
Version 1.6.57 already supports Dual photo pairs through a separate preview. Version 1.6.67 adds an inline flip to single-collector feed cards, so you can move between the paired views directly within a post.
The compact Dual indicator sits on the Emblem face and follows the currently visible view and its visibility permissions. Profile and notification images also resolve from current sender profiles more consistently.
13. Updated profiles and more reliable following
User, creator and brand profiles, Follow actions and follower lists already exist. This update brings creator and brand pages closer to the compact profile style, places Follow and View Profile actions together, aligns portraits and badges, and makes linked Instagram accounts easier to recognise.
Follow actions can complete without waiting for a push notification. Relationship state and Following/Followers counts receive stronger server reconciliation, with coordinated updates to reduce conflicting results. Profile scrolling also reduces accidental refreshes while interacting with content.
14. New: move the previously fixed People stamp
Eligible event photos in People already carry a stamp fixed at the bottom-right in 1.6.57. Version 1.6.67 lets you reposition that stamp on your own eligible published photos. Each image in the pair saves its own placement.
Drag the stamp to fit the composition while retaining the existing photo-swipe interaction.
Accessible movement controls provide another way to adjust placement.
Cancelled gestures and delayed saves retain the appropriate confirmed position.
A late save response does not replace a newer confirmed placement.
People photo processing also gains compression fallbacks and safer detail-cache maintenance, helping images recover when the preferred processing path cannot complete.
15. A redesigned Membership comparison and clearer status
Membership, the Member checkmark, subscription plans, restoration and Standard/Member Lucky comparisons are already present in 1.6.57. Version 1.6.67 redesigns the comparison with Free and Member headings placed once above the benefit columns.
Membership status becomes clearer while benefits are loading, when an error occurs, after expiry, and for complimentary grants. Existing subscription periods are checked before presenting another plan offer.
The existing campaign-specific Lucky comparison continues to follow each campaign's rules. Doubled chances are not a new feature of this release, and membership does not guarantee a win. The Member checkmark indicates active membership rather than identity verification.
The new gift system includes daily gift allowances and repeat-gift eligibility for Members where activated. Its benefit rows and Pavilion wrapping are still being tested separately. The benefits actually displayed in your production app determine the offer available to your account.
16. Updated Lucky cards, reward details and expiry information
Lucky campaigns, odds, reward reveals and reward inventory already exist in 1.6.57. This update changes how those rewards are presented and strengthens the handling around them.
Shared award cards and popups with more readable long names and details.
Better light-mode contrast, large-text layouts and screen-reader presentation.
Clearer Standard/Member probability wording.
Lucky wins appear holographic instead of gold.
Delayed award presentation that does not restart or hold up collection.
A visible Use by date on applicable reward vouchers.
Stronger checks on the account, eligibility and evidence used for an unlock or redemption.
Campaign terms, remaining availability and eligibility continue to determine what can be claimed.
17. Coin wallet improvements and Coin packs on sale
Coins, earning, the wallet, History and the pack-shop interface already exist in 1.6.57. Its payment recovery and duplicate-credit safeguards also remain part of the app. Since 7 October 2026, Coin packs can be bought in the app on both platforms.
This update adds clearer loading, cached-balance and error states. Pending payment receipts are retried when the wallet opens or the app resumes, and checkout checks the service connection before proceeding. Account handling and earned-title checks also receive further safeguards. The Coin balance on Rewards appears only when Coins are on, and tapping it opens Coins.
Packs of 5, 15 and 30 Coins are available in the in-app shop on both platforms. Buying them is optional: Coins can still be earned by collecting, completing passports, perfect quizzes, titles and missions. The existing earning economy is not being introduced again as a new feature.
18. New legal documents and more explicit privacy controls
Terms, Privacy screens and an optional analytics choice already exist in 1.6.57. Version 1.6.67 adds the dated legal texts prepared on 30 September, full English documents bundled for offline review, localized summaries and links before signup.
Explicit acknowledgement when publishing public People photos.
Authenticated access for private People identity media.
Collection-post visibility explained during preparation.
Gift media, preparation and title saves associated with the correct account.
Analytics choices associated with the signed-in account and confirmed age eligibility.
Improved birth-date validation that preserves the entered calendar day across timezones.
Recovery improvements across sign-in, profile setup, delayed work and account changes.
Optional analytics already defaulted off in the store release. The new account and age checks keep it off for under-16 and unknown-age accounts. Privacy acknowledgement remains separate from optional analytics and marketing choices.
Account-deletion guidance explains the handling of Coins, paid access, store subscription cancellation and gifts already accepted by someone else. Private notification translation receives access and recovery safeguards, repeated diagnostics are bounded and sampled, and collection-activity notifications are limited to one per collector each month.
19. Updated AI disclosures, language and accessibility
AI artwork disclosures already exist in 1.6.57. This update makes their presentation more compact. Artwork explicitly identified as AI-made now receives its disclosure even within heritage or UN collections, while AR objects and face filters are excluded from this artwork disclosure. The label describes the relevant artwork; it does not mean every Emblem is AI-generated.
Country and passport names receive language fixes. New gift letters, movable stamps and QR controls include accessible interactions, while the existing title, Member and reward views receive localization, contrast or screen-reader improvements. Gift layouts also account for small screens, reduced motion and right-to-left text.
What is still awaiting release or activation
The comparison above is between 1.6.57 and 1.6.67. Version 1.6.67 is available on the App Store and Google Play. Activation of individual services remains a separate step.
Scheduled delivery and gift benefits depend on rollout. The prepared allowance is five new gifts per UTC day for Free accounts, with the cap waived for active Members and repeat gifting for eligible Emblems. Pavilion-themed wrapping and the virtual Pripyat detector catalogue remain development-only. Coin packs have been on sale in the app since 7 October 2026.
These notes do not introduce Offline Area downloads, People comments or People sharing. Existing events, rewards and location-based experiences continue to depend on their relevant availability and permissions.
