Emblem 1.6.70 is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
Emblem 1.6.70 is the biggest change to how the app looks since its launch. Until now, every Passport shared the same pages. From this version on, the special Passports and Pavilions are curated: each one has its own colours, type, shapes and moments, taken from the place, the city or the partner behind it.
Curated Passports: Every special Passport in its own look
In 1.6.69, a Passport from Youth for Peace looked like a Passport from Minsk: the same white pages, the same Emblem tiles and the same buttons. In 1.6.70, each special Passport is designed from its subject. The look follows you through the Passport's page, its Emblem pages, the collect moment, sharing, the feed card, your profile and the Lucky card.
Emblems keep their square shape in every look, so the artwork is never cut.
Emblem creators and brands have looks of their own too. A creator's profile is drawn in the artist's own style, and the Bernard-Massard and Chocolaterie RG pages and maps wear their brand's look.

Expo, with its sunset gate.
World Heritage, as an ink booklet: near-black pages with the words, the seal and the Emblem logo in paper white.
Minsk, after the city's coat of arms, with the true arms shown whole.
Kyiv and Vilnius, each with its places, Emblems and Lucky card in the Passport's look.
Finland, after the blue cross of its flag on white.
Yekaterinburg and Jacques Schneider, the artist's own Passport, where a heart fills in for each Emblem you have collected.

Curated Pavilions: Pavilions you can recognise at a glance
Three Pavilions are curated in 1.6.70. Luxembourg greets you with "Moien!" and puts its Emblems first. Türkmenistan is set in white marble. Finland follows the flag's blue cross, and its Festivals page reads through the Finnish year with the chips All, Flag days and Winter.
Their section pages for food, music, books, festivals and places carry the same look. On a dish, a song or a book, the tick marks it Tasted, Listened or Read in place, and a friend's Pavilion shows their marks.

Finishing a Passport: A finished Passport opens its own full page
Version 1.6.69 had no moment for finishing a Passport. In 1.6.70, completing a special Passport opens a full page in its look, with every Emblem in its place, the last one carried in, then the count and Continue. Other Passports have a completion moment of their own.
New moments also mark a new title, a partner reward, a new Pavilion, a Coin unlock and a Lucky prize.
Passports and Pavilions: One Passports shelf, and a Pavilions tab that shows where you have been
The Passports page is now one shelf, without tabs. Search finds a Passport even without accents, so "chateau" finds Château. Continue holds only the Passports you have started and not finished, followed by Featured and rails for Pavilions, Cities and Thematic Passports, each with See all.
The Pavilions tab starts with your own Pavilions. Each one says "Been there" once you have been or collected there, "Complete" when it is done, and counts your Emblems, such as 12 of 42. A card at the top counts the Pavilions you have been to.
Collecting: Collect, then share who you were with
Every collect opens with the Emblem logo. Right after it, the Dual camera opens by itself and asks "Who were you with?", with Skip if you would rather not. The page after it is now called "Make it yours".
In the feed, Latest suggests up to three Emblems you have not collected yet in the country you are in, with new ones marked New and a link to the map. The collect page, the QR camera, the quizzes and the Dual camera each wear the Passport's look.
Share now opens in the Emblem's own look, with Story, Save, Copy link and More, and an Instagram Story gets one picture made for Stories.
Feed and notifications: A livelier feed and notifications you can act on
Double-tap any picture in the feed to like it. Posts collected by several people get a heart, a post with a photo or a caption keeps its own card, and the controls on a card answer at once. Profile pictures are round everywhere.
Notifications are now an activity list: one line per event with the names in bold, likes on one post grouped together, filters for Collects, People, Gifts and Comments, and Today, This week and Earlier. Tap a notification to open what it is about.
Gifts: Gift boxes in their Passport's colours
A curated Emblem's gift box and gift page now wear its Passport's colours, with the Passport's icon printed on the box. In your profile, the Gifts tab is a gift shelf: gifts waiting for you come first, opened gifts stand in their open box, and tapping one opens it again. The separate page for approving gifts is gone.
Lucky Emblems and rewards: Lucky moments and premium Passports in the app's own style
Premium Passport options, the purchase confirmation, the Members welcome and the update message now share the app's own style. A Lucky reveal stands out of its container, the live reward is animated and gets its Redeemed stamp, and the Youth for Peace and Yekaterinburg rewards show a Lucky foil card. Tips are offered again for the Youth for Peace artists.
Profile, map and titles: Your profile, your atlas and your titles
The profile takes the Passport look. A curated Passport's heading on your Emblems grid shows its mark, and the Emblems tab uses Passport icons taken from their covers.
Your profile map is an atlas in the sky's colours: each collected Emblem is a pin of its own artwork that shows at once, nearby pins are grouped, a sheet counts your Emblems, Locations, Pavilions and Territories, and your spot on the map shows your profile photo. The Titles page is reworked and organised by place. The main map has refined pins, Lucky Emblems in its legend, colours that follow the sky and place names in Emblem's own font.
Logo and opening: A rebuilt logo, a new app icon and a smoother opening
The app opens with the rebuilt Emblem logo, its icon splitting to show the name EMBLEM on an Emblem-blue launch screen. The home-screen icon is the rebuilt logo on iPhone and Android. The opening no longer flickers or flashes black, and it starts sooner. In the nav bar, the bubble glides from tab to tab, and your profile tab is your round photo.
New, in alpha: The Portal
The Portal arrives in 1.6.70 as an alpha. Dress your character, place your Emblems in your own 3D room and let friends visit. As an alpha, it is still growing, and it will change as we learn from how you use it.
Languages, privacy and speed: Clearer in every language, safer and faster
The app's Portuguese is now Brazilian Portuguese. Times read as minutes, hours and days in every language, arrows point the reading way in Arabic, Persian and Urdu, and Turkish and Greek capitals are written correctly.
After you sign out, or after an account deletion runs, that account's notifications stop reaching the phone. A phone still signed in to an account scheduled for deletion asks whether to keep the account or sign out.
Emblem pages open faster, pictures are decoded once, the Passports page scrolls without stutter, and start-up is lighter. Signature songs never start over your own music, and many smaller fixes come with this version.
On iPhone: Coming from 1.6.67 on iPhone
On the App Store, the version before this one was 1.6.67. On iPhone, 1.6.70 therefore also brings what 1.6.69 brought to Android:
Signature Emblems: BRAISE glows with embers and smoke, and a signature Emblem's song keeps playing in the mini player after you leave its page.
Hold an Emblem, a post or a place to preview it, with Open, Share and more options.
Emblems show their thick black frames again, and Lucky Emblems keep their holographic finish with a soft halo.
A gift that no one has accepted yet can be withdrawn, and Members can wrap a gift in the theme of its Emblem's Pavilion.
Parental controls apply to every account on the phone, lock again when you leave the app and wait longer after wrong PINs.
