About this Emblem
Under the moon, an apricot tree blooms by the river, and a pale figure in white seems to drift between the branches. The Emblem tells the legend of Loshitsa, the estate park on the southern side of Minsk. In 1895 Evstafy Lyubansky married Jadwiga, who drowned in the river ten years later. He sealed a window of her room and planted the apricot tree where she was lost. People say she returns on clear spring nights when it flowers.
